I agree that it would have been interesting to see if the song could have been expanded into more of a jamming vehicle. As it is, though, there really isn't anything especially noteworthy about the few test drives the band gave it- they're pleasant enough, but I don't think the boys were really given enough cracks to really sinkt heir teeth into the song.

To me, the great unfufilled Jerry tune (as far as the Dead's turns on the song) remains "Mission In the Rain".

Nice call. Looks like Mission was only played a handful of times in June 1976. I'd throw Gomorrah in there too. I don't think it was ever played by the Dead, but what a nice Jerry Band tune. I could see the boys throwing that one in for a first set breather.
